Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day1

Kathmandu - Dhunche

Starting Point: Kathmandu Destination: Dhunche Distance: Approximately 120 km Travel Time: 6–8 hours by bus or private jeep Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa. The road passes through Trishuli Bazaar, terraced hills, rivers, and traditional villages. Upon arrival, check into a local lodge and prepare for the trek. Accommodation: Teahouse/Lodge Altitude: 1,950 m

Day2

Dhunche - Chandanbari

Walking Time: 5–6 hours Distance: 10–12 km Altitude: 3,330 m The trek starts with a steady climb through dense forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron inside Langtang National Park. Along the trail, you may encounter monkeys, Himalayan birds, and other wildlife. Reach Chandanbari (also known as Sing Gompa), famous for its Buddhist monastery and local yak cheese factory.

Day3

Chandanbari - Gosaikunda Lake

Walking Time: 6–7 hours Distance: 11–12 km Altitude: 4,380 m Today's trek is the most rewarding. Ascend gradually through Lauribina, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Annapurna on clear days. Continue past Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda before arriving at the sacred Gosaikunda Lake. Spend the evening exploring the peaceful surroundings and watching the sunset over the Himalayan peaks. Day4

Explore Gosaikunda and Trek Back to Chandanbari

Chandanbari to Dhunche

Day6

Dhunche to Kathmandu
