Overview:
Nepal is home to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trekking, which is one of the most popular trekking routes on the planet. The Annapurna Conservation Area is the biggest and the first conservation area in Nepal. This place serves as an entry point to the Annapurna Himalayas with an altitude of over 4000 meters where you will find the world’s 10th highest mountain, Annapurna I (8091m).
Ghorepani, Tadapani, Chhomrong are some picturesque villages that you will go through while trekking towards ABC. Each village has its own culture which can be seen from their traditions. Also, the trek offers you an opportunity to meet with different local communities such as Gurungs, Magars, Thakalis and Lobas who live around this area. Don’t forget to taste some authentic Nepalese dishes along the way!
You will be astonished by the beauty of this place: Starting from terraced fields of green up to the sky scraping grove filled with rhododendron trees and pine forest, not forgetting powerful flowing modi river down below before finally reaching higher altitudes where bare rocks take over till snowcapped.

Route Overview to ABC Trek:
Lets give insight into the route of Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
As soon as you land at TIA, your Annapurna Base Camp adventure starts. You need not worry about being in a foreign land. A hospitable person holding a Nepal Hiking Team sign will give you a pleasant welcome by wearing a smile on his lips. It is more than just an airport pickup; it is the beginning of an incredible journey.
After a nice ride to Pokhara, we can relax or take a walk around the lakeside in the evening. The next day marks the beginning of our real adventure where we will pass through lovely forests, gushing waterfalls, and swimming spots. By the end of the day, you will be in Ulleri with nothing else around except for peace and quiet nature. During the course of our trip we can form lifelong friendships with each other while sharing laughter and stories under the sun or stars.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival at Pokhara
Arrive Pokhara – a beautiful lakeside town. Unwind, discover Lakeside Pokhara and prepare for the hike. Optional: see tourist sites like Peace Stupa or take a boat ride on Fewa Lake.
Day 2: Pokhara – Nayapul – Ghandruk (1,940m)
Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (about 1.5 hours). Trek nayapul up to now Ghandruk -a traditional gurung village with excellent views of annapurna range throughout the walking trail.
Day 3: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2,170m)
Hike from Ghandruk to Chhomrong via rhododendron forests and terraced fields trekking. Descend to Khimrong Khola then climb high further up chhomrong village overlooking annapurna south and hiunchuli peaks nearby.
Day 4: Chhomrong to Bamboo (2,310m)
Descend towards Chhomrong Khola, cross suspension bridge. Climb sinuwa then continue through thick bamboo forest up to bamboo.
Day 5: Bamboo to Deurali (3,230m)
Trek among rhododendron & bamboo forests passing dovan. Climb quite steeply past hinku cave till you hit deurali located in a valley with stunning views of waterfalls and snow caped mountains.
Day 6: Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m)
Follow Modi Khola trekking trail while viewing Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) among other peaks until you get there. Upon arrival be encompassed by towering mountains at Machhapuchhre Base Camp.
Day 7: Day Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m)
Trek to Annapurna Base Camp which is a natural amphitheater surrounded by Annapurna I, III as well as the icon Himalayas such as Machhapuchhre. Enjoying sunset and sunrise views over the majestic peaks where time permits spend a night here.
Day 8: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Descend from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo by following your footprints back.
Day 9: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1,760m)
Retracking our way until Chhomrong then proceed further Jhinu Danda where you will relax in the evening by dipping yourself into hot springs that are believed to have a miraculous power of easing off the body’s pain.
Day 10: Jhinu Danda to Nayapul, Drive to Pokhara
Make the final walk from Jhinu Danda up to Nayapul where you shall connect with your vehicle for a drive back to Pokhara. Have a special meal in Pokhara!
Day 11: Explore Pokhara
Relaxing around Fewa lake or strolling across streets can take most of your free time during this calm day. You may also decide to go paragliding, zipline or visit some other places if laziness does not guide you.
Day 12: Departure from Pokhara
Depart from Pokhara for your onward journey.
